ABOUT

The Ocean King is an independent music project primarily led by a Tim Ramsey who records and produces at Mylestone Entertainment/Studios under the direction of Justin Myles. The project is rooted in long-held childhood dreams, finally coming to fruition with the release of the EP Ocean of Hope in late 2024. The Album: Ocean of Hope Released officially on November 15, 2024, the Ocean of Hope EP is described as a "theatrical" realization of the artist's personal journey and creative aspirations. The project is deeply collaborative, featuring a core team and guest musicians: * Production & Instrumentation: Justin Myles produced the album and provided the drums and bass guitar. * Key Collaborators: The project credits Kevin Hope, Wally Ivanov, and Jon Kinkade as essential contributors to its completion. Track Highlights and Themes The songs on the EP blend personal milestones with professional guest performances: * "Ocean of Hope": The title track was written specifically for the EP and aimed to capture a grand, "theatrical life". * "Devil Eyes": Features a guest appearance by Wally Ivanov, whose lead guitar work added a "funky" dimension to the track. * "Pipeman": Noted for its aggressive energy, featuring lead guitar by Jon Kinkade. * "So Close": A deeply personal track written for the artist's daughter sixteen years prior to the album's release. * "Help Me": Co-written by Kevin Hope, focused on strong lyrical delivery. The Ocean King’s music has been performed in various capacities across the DC Metro area. The artist emphasizes themes of human connection and resilience, often concluding messages with the mantra that "it's okay to be HUMAN".
